Five Things: Bulb Planting, Unified Volleyball
Your guide for life in East Greenwich today, Oct. 17.

EGHS PTG meeting: Come to the monthly PTG meeting and stay for the bulb planting (see below). At 9:30 a.m. at the high school.
Daffodils for Avenger Drive: EGHS Student Council is presenting the Bulb Project to EGHS members as well as members of the community. Through this project we'll be planting 3,000 daffodil bulbs along the 1/2 mile length of Avenger Drive during the hour of advisory at the high school, from 10:15 Â to 11:20 a.m. All members of EGHS are encouraged to help with our goal of beautifying Avenger, as well as boosting school spirit and community outreach. Also, all members of the community are invited to help us plant, first checking in with the front office. For additional questions, contact Nick Rath, eghsstudentcouncil@gmail.com.
Unified Volleyball’s Senior Day: EG, coming off a strong win against Hendricken last week is now 5-0 and number one in the state. Tessa Egan had a great game against Hendricken with more than eight hits. And EG is 14-1 in sets this season. Come root for Patrick, Cruiser, Gavin, Hoppy, Maggie, and Michael as the Avengers meet Pilgrim. The home game starts at 6 p.m.
Avenger home games: In addition to the unified volleyball game listed above, the Boys Soccer team plays Central Falls, JV at 4:30 and Varsity at 6:30 p.m. For the latest information about EGHS sports, check out the Avengers Booster Club website.
Steve Marra 5K in EG on Sunday: The Steve Marra Foundation 5K Road Race, to be held Sunday, Oct. 21, will start behind the Grille on Main and finish in front, on Main Street, and will honor . The registration form is attached at right.
