International Idol at EGHS is POSTPONED:
[No new date announced yet.] This event is always a highlight of the school year. Foreign language students perform songs in their language of study. At 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium at the high school.

Literacy Volunteers info night: Interested in learning about becoming a volunteer tutor? Join the Literacy Volunteers of Kent County (LVKC) tutors and their moderator for an evening of snacks and talk. Find out what makes them tick and keeps them coming back for more. Cabaret, a celebration of beloved EG teacher Ric Saborio: On Friday and Saturday night, the East Greenwich school community is coming together to present a Cabaret of music, song, entertainment “celebrating our beloved EG teacher Ric Saborio.” Come see your classmates, neighbors, and friends perform on the stage at Cole Middle School. Tickets, $5, are available at the door. Show time both nights is 7 p.m.

St. Thomas Boys Choir concert Saturday: One of the premier boys choirs in the world – the St. Thomas Church Boys Choir of New York City – will be performing at St. Luke’s Saturday afternoon at 4. Admission is free but donations are accepted. A reception will follow.

Cherish the Ladies:
 The famous Irish music group returns to the Odeum just a week before St. Patrick’s Day. The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $30.Click here to order.

Special Olympics Polar Plunge:  The 6th Annual Torch Run Plunge takes place at the beach at Goddard Park Sunday at noon, with signups starting at 10 a.m. To kick off the festivities, Richmond Police Chief Elwood Johnson will be taking the plunge at Goddard 24 times (!!!) – once an hour, starting at noon Saturday. All are welcome. There is a $50 minimum to participate or a $15 donation to join the after party.
