Rocky Hill Grange Yard Sale: The Rocky HIll Grange #27 holds its annual giant in-door yard/tag sale today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Grange, 1340 S County Trail. Rain or shine. 

Sharing Locker: The Sharing Locker is a non-food pantry to assist people in meeting their basic needs for living, to increase their quality of life, and to fill the gap for those who are struggling. Provisions offered include: all-purpose cleaners, dish detergent, hand soap, laundry detergent, SOS pads, deodorant, body lotion, razors, facial tissue, paper towels, toilet paper, and dry pet food for dogs and cats. Located in the Westminster Church House. Open on the third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Rocky Hill Open House: Rocky Hill School's Admission Open House offers a chance to learn how your child will explore and pursue intellectual, athletic and artistic passions at Rocky Hill. Using project – and discussion-based learning infused with technology, Rocky Hill teaches creative discovery through innovation and inquiry. Rocky Hill students are novel and adaptive thinkers with the self-awareness and confidence to succeed in college and beyond.

Symposium Books story hour: At Story Hour at Symposium Books every week we pick a new story and read it to the kids with animal crackers and fun! Favorite stories are "No Matter What" and "Jungle Explorer." Come early and help pick the story, and better yet, there is a 10% additional discount on everything in the store during story hour! From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Fifth Annual West Bay Open Studios Tour: Autumn is the perfect time to take a drive from art studio to art studio, through the backroads of East Greenwich and beyond for the 5th Annual Open Studios Tour. At each stop you will have the opportunity to meet the artists in their working environments, view the artistic process, and purchase original art. The self-guided tour is free and open to the public, includes artists' studios in East Greenwich, Warwick (Apponaug and Cowesett), Exeter, North Kingstown, and Saunderstown. Wedding Walk Saturday: Main Street in East Greenwich is the place to plan your entire wedding! This semi-annual Wedding Walk bridal event gives you the opportunity to meet with the finest wedding vendors in the state all in one place! We have added a Bridal RUN this fall in the Armory, all Main Street Bridal Shops will be hosting a blow out sale in one place on Main Street. Add this to the traditional walk and we have a spectacular event planned! Registration begins at the Armory, 6 Main St., at 11 a.m.

Harvest Festival w/pumpkins: There will be a Harvest Festival at EG United Methodist Church on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. featuring local musicians, food, hayrides for the children, crafts and games, and a huge pumpkin patch. Janice Wray, East Greenwich resident and URI nursing student, suffered serious injury in a car accident on April 1st of this year which left her paralyzed and in a wheelchair.  After almost 4 months in hospitals she has come back home to her family and now faces a new path of healing and recovery within her local community.  While her positive spirit and determination to overcome and succeed is remarkable and an inspiration to many, the road ahead for her promises to be long and arduous, with many as yet unknown obstacles and medical expenses.

Popcorn Sale: East Greenwich Cub Scout Pack 3 Den 7 will be selling delicious Pop-Corn and Chocolate Covered Pretzels to raise funds for their current year activites. Stop by and pick up some of your favorites like Microwave Kettle Corn, Double Carmel Crunch or everyone;s favorite the Chocolate Lover's Collection – a selection of white and milk chocolate covered pretzels and popcorn. Sure to cure any chocolate craving! Come on down rain or shine. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Steve Marra 5K in EG this Sunday: The Steve Marra Foundation 5K Road Race, to be held Sunday, Oct. 21, will start behind the Grille on Main and finish in front, on Main Street, and will honor . The registration form is attached at right.

Pops & Classical Concert Sunday: Enjoy a delightful concert of pops and classical masterpieces this Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Westminster Unitarian Church, 119 Kenyon Ave. Local classical pianist Philip Martorella is joined by vocalist John Faiola for a selection of pieces from Billy Joel to Claude Debussy. Works by Bach, Chopin, Liszt, Puccini, John, Joplin, Lennon-McCartney, Wildhorn, and others will provide attendees with something for everyone. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Adults $15, seniors $12, children $8.
