More Fall Dean's List Honorees

This time of year, colleges and universities release the names of those students who've earned a spot on their Dean's List. Here are some of those who've been named. If you or your child have been named to a Dean's List and you haven't seen it here, let us know (email elizabeth.mcnamara@patch.com).

Kelsey Damrad was named to the Dean's List at the State University of New York at New Paltz for the Fall 2012 semester. Damrad's major is Journalism. Dean's List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

Megan Godfrey has been named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the fall 2012 semester. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the fall 2012 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester. These credit hours must be in courses that earn grade points and the student must have completed all such courses attempted.

Paige McClatchy, a member of the class of 2013 at Connecticut College and a resident of East Greenwich, has been named to the Dean's Honors list for the 2012 fall semester. At Connecticut College, Dean's Honors is a recognition for students who have earned a grade point average of at least 3.65, and Dean's High Honors is a recognition for students who have earned a grade point average of at least 3.78.

Rider University's colleges of Business Administration; Continuing Studies; Liberal Arts, Education, and Sciences; and Westminster College of the Arts have announced the names of undergraduate students who have been placed on the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester. Area Dean's List students are Elizabeth Hanks, a senior English major, and Claire Thompson, a senior Public Relations major.

Bard College at Simon's Rock announces that Molly Greene of East Greenwich, RI, has earned a place on the dean's list for the fall semester of the 2012 academic year. To be eligible for this honor a student must carry 14 or more credits and achieve a grade point average of 3.5. Greene made the dean's list for her distinguished work overall.

Austin Labbe from North Kingstown was named to the Dean's List at the University of Pittsburgh in the Neuroscience Premed program.

Taryn Sousa has been named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for Fall 2012. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Ian Sutcliffe has been placed the Deans' Commendation List for outstanding academic achievement in the Fall 2012 semester at Gettysburg College. Students with a quality point average in the range of 3.300 to 3.599 for a semester's work are placed on the College's Deans' Commendation List. Amanda Miller has been placed on the Gettysburg College Dean's Honor list for outstanding academic achievement in the Fall 2012 semester. Students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for a semester's work are placed on the College's Dean's Honor List.

Olivia DeSpirito was named to the Norwich University Fall 2012 Dean's List as a first-year cadet.
