New Coffee Shop Opening In East Greenwich
Drip Coffee will eventually add alcohol to its menu, which includes coffee, pastries, sandwiches and more.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — A new coffee shop will be coming to East Greenwich, and they're eventually going to serve alcohol as well.
The Town Council on Monday unanimously approved giving a license to Drip Coffee, which will open at 2725 South County Trail. Drip Coffee will be a joint venture between Stephen Mignanelli and Sarah Grillo. Mignanelli's family also owns Richard's Pub and the Ritrovo Pub, both in East Greenwich.
"We shared in the same vision of a coffee venture, and we thought this was a great location for this," Mignanelli said. "There's nothing like this on this side of East Greenwich."

Along with coffee, the restaurant will also serve bagels, pastries, muffins, breakfast items and sandwiches, Mignanelli said. Hours will be 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., for now, but will extend once alcohol is added to the menu.
"We have no intention to sell liquor just yet," Mignanelli said. "We want to do one thing at a time. Once we get comfortable with that, it's something we'd be introducing."

Mignanelli didn't give an exact date on when the coffee shop will open, but said he's ready to go and will open as soon as possible.
