RI Blogger to Give New Neighbors Club Local Travel Tips
The author of the "Rhode Less Traveled" blog will be offering tips about great nearby escapes right here in the Ocean State.

From the East Greenwich Cowesett New Neighbors Club:
Summer will be here soon, so what better time to plan some fun day trips around our beautiful state? On Wednesday, May 11th, at 9:30 AM, the East Greenwich Cowesett New Neighbors Club monthly meeting will feature well-known blogger Michele Meek, who will give us some tips for exploring all this region has to offer, from unique restaurants and trendy food trucks to farms and children’s attractions. Michele has the scoop on the best local arts, sports, shopping, and nightlife. The Rhode Less Traveled is a blog launched in 2009 and written by Michele and Geoff Meek to report on food, arts and children’s activities in the Ocean State. Originally born in Providence, Michele has lived in cities from Paris to Berlin to New York and has traveled to over 20 countries from Tunisia to Taiwan. For over a decade, she has specialized in writing about film and travel, publishing articles in Bonjour Paris, WHERE Boston, and a Paris online guide for Mondo Explorer.
To whet your appetite for fun summer day trips, the New Neighbors Club will be giving away several fun door prizes including tickets to the Newport Mansions and Adventureland, gift cards to Inside Scoop ice Cream, Wrights Dairy Farm, and Matunuck Oyster Bar, and a gift certificate for up to four-person group surfing lesson or a surf camp session from Peter Pan Surfing Academy.
