5 Things to Know About This Weekend

Mostly sunny, hot; children's chorus auditions; farmers market opens; Al-Anon meeting; American Legion motorcycle run.

Here are five things you should know in and around East Providence this weekend:

  1. Mostly sunny and hot each day with temperatures climbing into the 80s – maybe even hitting 90 degrees.
  2. The RI Children’s Chorus holds auditions for new members for the fall season on Saturday from 10 am to noon at the RI Philharmonic Carter Center, 667 Waterman Ave, East Providence; boys and girls ages 7-16 are welcome to try out.
  3. The Barrington farmers market opens for the season on Saturday from 9 am to noon at Barrington Congregational Church on County Road.
  4. Hope Congregational Church, 120 Wampanoag Trail, hosts an Al-Anon meeting Saturday at 7:30 pm.
  5. American Legion Post 10 in Riverside holds a motorcycle run on Sunday starting at 9 am; the last rider leaves the Willett Avenue post at 11:30 am.
