• Chas Calenda tapped as interim US attorney of Rhode Island (wpri.com) — East Providence readers are learning that Chas Calenda has been appointed interim U.S. attorney for Rhode Island, with his selection confirmed this week. The former Republican attorney general candidate and West Greenwich town councilor stepped down from his council seat and will be sworn in Tuesday, saying he’ll soon announce whether this new role changes his 2026 political plans.
