Here are five things you should know about today in East Providence:

  1. Rain showers and scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon with a high near 73 degrees.
  2. The East Providence/Seekonk Rotary Club meets every Monday at 12:15 pm at the Eleven Forty Nine East Restaurant, 965 Fall River Ave., Seekonk.
  3. The St. Francis Xavier food pantry, 81 North Carpenter St., is open from 9:20 to 11 am for families to visit once each month with a valid government ID card.
  4. Ballroom dance classes are held every Monday at 2 pm at the East Providence senior center, 610 Waterman Ave.
  5. Centre Court Tennis Club, 55 Hospital Road, hosts tennis drills and workouts each day from 9 am to noon.
