Here are five things to know about today in East Providence:

Mostly sunny skies and a bit warmer a high temperature near 63 degrees.
Book discussion groups at Weaver Library, 41 Grove Ave., meet at 2 pm and 7 pm to discuss Barbara Kingsolver's The Lacuna. New members are always welcome.
Cathren Housley leads a second workshop on the art of making picture books at Weaver Library at 3:45 pm. Participants will take home their own mini-book in the session sponsored by the RI Council on the Arts.
Drop in on the Knit and Crochet Club with Lurene Sorogheye at Weaver Library at 6:30 pm. Enjoy sitting, talking, laughing, and knitting with others!
The East Providence School Committee meets at 7 pm in the Council Chamber in City Hall.
