5 Things to Know About Today

Here are five things you should know about today in East Providence:
- Some morning clouds will give way in the afternoon to mainly sunny skies with a high temperature of 67 degrees.
- Patrick T. Conley, Rhode Island’s first Historian Laureate, gives a presentation on two of his books, The Makers of Modern Rhode Island 1790-1860 and People, Places, Laws, and Lore of the Ocean State, at Weaver Library at 7 pm.
- The East Providence/Seekonk Rotary Club meets every Monday at 12:15 pm at the Eleven Forty Nine East Restaurant, 965 Fall River Ave., Seekonk.
- Ballroom dance classes are held every Monday at 2 pm at the East Providence senior center, 610 Waterman Ave.
- Centre Court Tennis Club, 55 Hospital Road, Riverside, holds tennis drills and workouts daily at 9 am; the drills are hosted by Barrington Neighbors and Newcomers.
