Here are five things you should know about today in East Providence:

  2. The East Providence City Council meets for its first June meeting at 7:30 pm in the Council Chamber in City Hall.
  3. Haven United Methodist Church, 200 Taunton Ave., offers a coffee break for all veterans and active-duty Reserve and National Guard at 7 pm.
  4. Drop in on the Knit and Crochet Club with Lurene Sorogheye at Weaver Library at 6:30 pm. Enjoy sitting, talking, laughing, and knitting with others!
  5. Or stop by the computer class at the Weaver library from 9:30 to 11 am for help with using the Internet, uploading a resume, or help with your Kindle or Nook.
