Teen Team Rolling for Duckpin Title
A team from the East Providence Bowling Academy will compete for the national junior title later this month in Baltimore.
A teenage team from the East Providence Bowling Academy will be rolling for another national duckpin title later this month.
The duckpin team of Christa Quigley, Colby Miller, Alex Dias, Amanda Duarte and Brandon Gaudreau – all ages 16 to 18 -- won the Major Division state title at Johnston’s Town Hall Lanes for the third straight year in late April, according to eastbayri.com.
They will compete again at the 2013 National Duckpin Youth Association Junior Tournament on June 21-23 in Baltimore for the national crown.

The team will be one of seven squads rolling for the national title. The 2010 team, including Colby Miller, won the junior championship.
Before heading off to nationals, most of the Bowling Academy team members will warm up by competing in the RI State Invitational Tournament today and tomorrow back at Town Hall Lanes in Johnston.
