Family Resource Fair: 6pm-8pm. Bradley Hospital hosts this seventh annual event designed to aid families of children with special needs. Representatives from more than 50 statewide mental health advocacy, support and information organizations will be on hand to offer details about services and resources available for parents, families, teachers, and children and adolescents with special health needs, including mental health, learning, medical and cognitive challenges. Pre-registration is requested. Location: Ruggles Gymnasium, 1011 Veterans Memorial Parkway, East Providence. Event is Free.
Comedy Night Fundraiser: 7pm-9pm. The National Federation of the Blind of Rhode Island, centered in Bristol, hosts this 18-and-over event featuring John Perrotta and two guest comedians. Proceeds will be used to establish a scholarship fund for blind students in Rhode Island and to support continuous advocacy efforts on the local and national level.
