Have 'Family Fun Day' at Crescent Park

Spend a "Family Fun Day" at the Crescent Park Carousel in Riverside on Saturday, May 18.

The East Providence Prevention Coalition is hosting the annual day. It runs from 11 am to 3 pm. 

Think dress –up races.

And potato sack races. 

And a lollipop pull.

And a competitive obstacle course for kids ages 5-12. 

And music by children’s guitarist Becky Chace from 11 am to 1 pm. 

And food from the Blount Clam Shack 

And rides on the historic Loof Carousel, of course.

The list of things to do goes on and on – with the day geared for kids who range in age from toddlers to around sixth grade, said Jennifer Wall, director of the EPPC.

The event is a fundraiser for the prevention coalition, so there is a $5 fee per participant. 

Sponsors include Navigant Credit Union and 212 Health and Performance.

Crescent Park is located at 700 Bullocks Point Ave. just north of the Terrace neighborhood.  Call 435-1923 if there is threatening weather, said Wall.
