Irene Bettencourt, 88, Ex-Wampanoag Diner Owner
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday in St. Martha's Church at 9 am; there are no calling hours.

Irene (Costa) Bettencourt, formerly of Vincent Avenue, East Providence, died surrounded by her family, on Monday, May 13, 2013. She was 88.
She was the wife of the late Stephen "Harry" Bettencourt. She and her husband owned the Wampanoag Diner in East Providence from 1954 to 2000.
Born Dec. 30, 1924, in Seekonk, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Almeida) Costa.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 9 am in St. Martha's Church, 2595 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence. There will be no calling hours. Click here for the complete obituary.
