Mary H. Crook, 91, Retired Hasbro Receptionist

Mary H. (Hunt) Crook, formerly of Vermont Avenue, Rumford, East Providence, died Monday, July 8, 2013 at Waterview Villa.  She was 91.

She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Crook, Sr. She was born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Michael and Nora (Hunt) Hunt.   

Crook was a receptionist for Hasbro Industries for 27 years before retiring.  She was a communicant of St. Teresa’s Church and a member of the Seniors Club. She was also a member of the Quarter Century Club at Hasbro.

She leaves one son, Joseph R. Crook, Jr. of Falmouth, Ma., two daughters, Marian “Mamie” McMahon of Swansea and Michaela DeCataldo of Cranston, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, her sister in law, Mildred Hunt and many nieces and nephews.  She was the mother of the late Patricia Bergeron and sister of the late Rev. Patrick Hunt, Catherine Dube, William, Bart, John and Edward Hunt.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, July 12, at 8:45 am from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Teresa of the Child Jesus Church, Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery.
