The fourth- and fifth-grade choruses at four East Providence elementary schools will join forces to perform another rock concert on June 4.

Rock on with the fourth- and fifth-grade choruses at four of East Providence’s elementary schools on Tuesday evening, June 4.

About 200 students – 50 each from Silver Spring, Orlo, Kent Heights and Hennessey schools – will perform at East Providence High School. It starts at 6:30 pm under the direction of music teacher Taylor Temple.

“The concert will feature rock songs from a variety of artists, including The Beatles, The Doors, Janice Joplin, Neil Young, David Bowie and more,” according to Nick Hurd, music teacher at Silver Spring and Orlo Avenue schools.

“This is the third concert of this kind,” Hurd said, “and every year it has gotten bigger and better.”

“We will be charging $2 at the door, and we will also be selling CD's of the children singing the songs,” said Hurd.
