Woman Found Dead after Summit St. Fire
Police said the cause of death has not immediately been determined.
A fire in East Providence on Friday is under investigation and officials are working to determine the cause of death of an elderly woman who was found inside by firefighters.
Authorities said crews responded to the fire at 49 Summit St. on Friday morning and found the woman dead inside the house.
Firefighters said the fire was a cooking fire and it apparently self-extinguished by the time they arrived.
