Robert Dolbey has been recognized as the oldest resident of Foster. He was awarded the Gold Cane in January 2022 and chose to be awarded the plaque.

Bob was born on July 7, 1925, and lives on Old Danielson Pike where he has resided for over 60 years.  He was married to the late Norma (Duff) Dolbey and raised two daughters in the family home. He is a WWII veteran having served in the US Army.

Bob worked in the car industry at various car dealerships before opening Chopmist Exxon in Scituate which he owned for several years. 

Bob enjoyed growing a huge garden each year, took great pride in maintaining his yard and stills enjoys spending the summer at his home in Matunuck, RI. His greatest treasure is enjoying his two granddaughters and three great grandchildren.
