20 Golden Retriever Puppies, 6 Dogs Seized From 'Unsanitary' RI Home

HOPKINTON, RI β€” "Many golden retrievers" were seized from an unsanitary Hopkinton home by the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, officials told Patch Friday.

"The owner was very cooperative and relinquished 20 puppies and six adults to us," a spokesperson for the Rhode Island SPCA said.

The puppies were taken safely to a shelter to be examined by a veterinarian and receive any necessary medical care including spay and neuter procedures when ready, according to the spokesperson.
