RI Hunting, Fishing and Falconry Rules Up For Public Hearing

A virtual hearing is set for May 6 on the Zoom platform. The proposed Dept. of Fisheries and Wildlife regulations are available online.

JAMESTOWN, RI — The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management plans a virtual public hearing on May 6 on proposed amendments to the state's hunting, freshwater fishing, and falconry regulations.

The regulations are relevant to the Division of Fish & Wildlife. RIDEM's full rulemaking agenda — including copies of the proposed hunting, fishing, and falconry rules — can be found here.

A separate hearing on May 11 will consider draft regulations governing wildlife rehabilitation, importation, feeding, and baiting of cervids, as well as the importation and possession of wild animals.
