Carpionato to Buy Former Training School Property

The State Properties Committee has approved the sale of the former Training School property in the John O. Pastore Complex in Cranston to the Carpionato Group of Johnston.

The same company owns Chapel View — a high end shopping center near nearby and close to Garden City, among other properties around the state.

The Providence Journal reported that Carpionato will pay $4.75 million for the property and will demolish the former training school buildings. The plan is to build a mixed-use development with offices and residences.
