Sign Up for Summer Reading at Mohr Library
Registration opened on June 17 for this year's children's summer reading program — and there are programs for teens and adults.

Now that the school year is winding down for the Johnston School Department, it's time to keep the kids' skills sharp over the summer.
Starting June 17, the Marian J. Mohr Library is taking registrations for this year's Summer Reading Program.

The fun kicks off for the elders on June 18 with former Providence Mayor Vincent "Buddy" Cianci stopping by to speak about his book, Politics and Pasta. Free. Call ahead to reserve a spot.
For the middle and high schoolers, there's an end of school party on June 20 at... well, it's after school — just go.

And for the youngsters [up to age 12], start by signing them up for a chance at Roger Williams Park Zoo and Providence Childrens' Museum free tickets [5 finished books required].
Then, on June 22, bring the 9-to-13 year-olds to a presentation by the Rhode Island Computer Museum where they can program their own video game.
