LINCOLN, RI — The Lincoln Police Department is searching for two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that was reported in the parking lot of Twin Rivers Casino.

Wednesday around 2:25 a.m. police headed over to the casino where two men and Twin River Security were waiting. The men told police that after getting out of their car in the north lot they were approached by a tall Black male and a shorter White male wearing a Sponge Bob tee shirt. Both of the suspects appeared to be in their 20s.

The victims told police that the Black suspect revealed what appeared to be a firearm in his waistband. Both victims were told to kneel on the ground and relinquish their money. At one point, the Black suspect removed the gun from his waistband and pointed it at the head of one of the victims, the men told police. After the victims turned over their money they were instructed to walk toward the casino and not turn around. The victims located security inside the casino and reported the incident, said Captain Gould of the Lincoln Police Department.
