Lincoln Liar — Lincoln Man Lied About Crime: Cops
The Lincoln man was also charged with obstruction, police said.
LINCOLN, RI — A Lincoln man was arrested and charged with making a false report of a crime, police said.
Tehmaas Amad, 20, was also charged with obstructing an officer in execution of duty, according to a Rhode Island State Police report.
"This arrest was the result of a barracks investigation (by a state trooper) and Ahmad turning himself into the Lincoln Woods Barracks," the report said.

Ahmad was arrested shortly before 6:30 p.m. July 31, according to the report.
The state police refused to provide additional information on Ahmad's arrest from nearly two weeks ago.

"All additional related records are exempt from disclosure at this time," the state police legal counsel said in an email, citing the Access to Public Records Act.
