Alleged Drunk Man Charged With Breaking and Entering
The following arrests were reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
- Daniel Walsh, 32, of 12 Harrison, Bristol, was arrested on Sunday, June 9 on charges of domestic disorderly conduct. Walsh allegedly got into an argument with his brother on the way home from the Atlantic Beach Club.
- Stanley Shoppell, 54, of 196 Valley Road, was arrested on Sunday, June 9 on a felony breaking and entering charge. A Middletown resident said Shoppell was banging on the front door and then went inside. The resident then pushed him down down the stairs and out of the apartment. Shoppell allegedly charged back inside and began to fight with the victim. Police said Shoppell was bleeding from the head and was intoxicated. Shoppell was taken to Newport Hospital and was later arrested.
