Man, 63, Arrested After Drives Off Road

The following incidents were reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Norman Cote, 63, of 95 Heidi, Portsmouth, was arrested Saturday, Jan. 11 around 6:40 p.m. for driving under the influence after he allegedly drove his pick-up truck off Hanging Rock Road, said police. His truck was in deep mud with both passenger side tires stuck in a ditch on the right shoulder of the road, reported police. Cote allegedly told police he had drank a liter of wine. He was brought to Newport Hospital for injuries and later processed. He was charged with a DUI and cited with a roadway violation.


Other Arrests  

  • Calvin Brimage, 23, of 15 Harbor Village Dr. Apt #4, Middletown was arrested Saturday, Jan. 11 at 1:33 a.m. on a bench warrant charge.

  • Jason Martin, 37, of 4 Oak , Coventry, was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 10:32 a.m. on a bench warrant charge. 

  • Michael Porco, 39, of 17 King Road Apt. 3, Portsmouth was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 10 p.m. on a domestic violation of a no contact order.
