Middletown Arrests: Transportation of Alcohol By Minor, Possession of Marijuana
The following arrest was reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Kaylin Maddox, 18, of 2345 West Main Rd., Portsmouth, was arrested on last night around 8:50 p.m. on charges of an active bench warrant for failure to appear in court Friday. She was also cited for operating with a suspended license, transportation of alcohol by a minor and for not using her headlights when operating the vehicle.
Police said when Maddox was pulled over on West Main Road, she provided a Georgia license but said she did not have a Rhode Island driver's license. It had been previously seized by after an arrest for operating on a suspended license, said police. Police reported a bottle of Malibu rum was found in the trunk. Maddox denied the alcohol belonged to her, said police.
Scott Nicholson, 56, of 53 Bacheller St., Newport, was arrested on Wednesday morning around 10:54 a.m. on charges of a misdemeanor possession of marijuna charge and driving with a suspended license.Â
Nicholson was pulled over at the intersection of Aquidneck Avenue and Valley Road for failure to use his directional, said police. Police said a routine check revealed an active bench warrant and when police searched his car, they said they found a plastic bag that contained marijuana.Â
