Randall N. Levesque, 57, of Middletown, owner of Equine Insurance Services, LLC, has been accused of wire fraud and identity theft.

MIDDLETOWN, RI—A Middletown man is accused of cheating his customers, insurance companies and finance companies out of $1.3 million, the U.S. Attorney's Office said Wednesday. Randall N. Levesque, 57, sells horse insurance. He is owner of Equine Insurance Services, LLC and Randall Levesque Agency. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, he double-billed and overcharged his customers, when using their credit cards to pay for policy premiums. In some cases, the customers had not ordered the policies or agreed to pay the premium by credit card. Levesque is also accused of forging some of their signatures.
He also collected premiums for other insurance companies but kept the money himself, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
