According to Zillow.com, the average Middletown home is valued at $293,400, which is three percent lower than this time last year. Neighboring Newport and Portsmouth have seen even greater dips in value, at 3.4 percent and 5.5 percent, respectively.  

Despite the decline, there are still high-end houses on the market in Middletown.

The last house that sold in Middletown for over $3 million was over a year ago; 195 Indian Ave. went for $3,940,000 in June of 2011.
