Middletown Student Soars on Wings of Dad's Dream

A Middletown fifth-grader and student pilot is earning his wings as a pilot after an injury kept his dad from the cockpit.

Alex Bowley, who's logging hours under the tutelage of Graham Smith, was recently featured by WPRI Channel 12 on its "Street Stories" segment.

The segment explains that Bowley's dad, Chris, had been struck in the temple by an errant line drive by a player in baseball batting practice, resulting in seizures.
