Middletown Town Council, Empire Tea and Coffee to Open New Location

Check out five things you should know about this week:

1. Middletown Town Council meets Monday. Last Monday’s meeting was rescheduled due to weather.  Read the agenda here.
   
   
2. Calling hours for Sharon Gerlach, 58 of Middletown will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Gerlach died after she was struck by a pick-up truck on Bellevue Avenue. 
   
   
3. Empire Tea and Coffee is planning to open a third location on Bellevue by Spring 2014, according to their Facebook page.  The new location will be discussed at the zoning meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. in the city council chambers at Newport City Hall. Read the full agenda here. 
    
4. The Revolving Door Restaurant, located at 509 Thames St. in Newport, opened its doors for the first time last week!  Drop in and say hello!
