Patriots Linebacker Fishes with Local Captain
Jerod Mayo, a Patriots linebacker, spent Tuesday morning fishing with local captain Tim Flaherty. He took his catch to a Middletown restaurant to prepare with local flavor.

Jerod Mayo, a linebacker for the New England Patriots, fished Newport waters this week with Captain Tim Flaherty, owner of Flaherty Charters. Mayo was was accompanied by his older brother and good friend Inky Johnson and Fred Lee.
Captain Flaherty said they caught over 200 pounds of fish, including 50 lbs of porgy and  20 lbs of black sea bass. Mayo personally landed over 13 ledge-monsters, said the Captain.

"This was his first fishing experience," said Flaherty. Flaherty, a retired Portsmouth school teacher,
The new anglers took their catch to the local seafood experts, in Middletown, to prepare with a local touch.
