Police Identity Man Found Dead Inside Middletown Home

Middletown police said they are still working to determine John Edward-Corbett's cause of death and are looking for information.

MIDDLETOWN, RI — Police on Wednesday identified a man who they found dead Tuesday inside a Middletown home.

Middletown police identified the man as John Edward-Corbett, 39.

Corbett's body was found around 11:30 a.m. at a home in the 900th block of West Main Road, according to police. Police said they searched the home after Edward-Corbett's friend asked the department to conduct a well-being check, as Edward-Corbett had not been seen or heard from in a few days.

"The Middletown Police Department extends its deepest sympathies to the Edward-Corbett family," a police spokesperson said.

Police said they have not determined Edward-Corbett's cause of death.
