2 People From RI Win Big Lottery Jackpots

One win was from an online instant game, and the other from a traditional scratch ticket.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — Two Rhode Island Lottery players recently one big jackpots —one from an online instant game, and the other from a traditional scratch ticket.

Nicole Pelletier of Narragansett won $25,288.74 playing the “Reef Riches” e-instant game with a progressive jackpot starting at $25,000. The “Reef Riches” game debuted on the Rhode Island Lottery website and mobile app Thursday morning, and in less than 24 hours, a jackpot prize was won.

Pelletier said she picked that game to play because it was the newest. With just five weeks left in the school year, she plans to celebrate her win with a vacation with her daughters.

A man from West Warwick also claimed a $50,000 prize playing the “Super Crossword” instant game. Lottery officials said the winning ticket was purchased at Bread N' Stuff, at 166 Main St. in West Warwick.
