5 THINGS: Bikes, Wrasslin’ and Cowboys

NBX returns to the town council meeting agenda, and the wrestling team returns to NHS for a home meet.

Here are the Five Things for Tuesday, January 17, 2012:

NBX looking for zone change. Continuing off a , at tonight’s council meeting there will be continued talk about the zoning change request by NBX. Basically, NBX wants to move further down Boston Neck Road, on to a bigger and more accessible lot, but the proposed move has drawn criticism from abutters. The council meets at 7:30 p.m, following a 6:30 p.m. work session with auditors.

Tuesday Night Raw! The Narragansett High School wrestling team (4-5, 4-2 Division II-South) hosts Tolman (2-3, 2-3 Division II-North) at 7 p.m. There will be no Rock Bottoms or Go To Sleeps, however, the Mariners should still be favorites against the Tigers. Wrestling is the only home team, but…

Basketball and swimming, oh my! … Several have away games. The boys’ basketball team (5-6, 3-4 Division II-South) attempts to improve their state tournament seeding with a 7 p.m. game at Shea High School (9-2, 5-2 Division II-Central). The boys currently have the 28th seed, out of 32 teams. Junior varsity is at 5:15 p.m. Girls’ swimming (0-2, 0-2 Division I) faces Barrington (2-2, 2-2 Division I) at the Bayside Family YMCA at 5:45 p.m.

It is factually true that some indeed do like it hot. Remember when movies could be sultry without being slutty? Maybe you need a refresher course? Some Like It Hot, starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon, will be shown at the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. For more information, click .
