Fun times on the weekend! Yay!

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Saturday, October 13, 2012:

Fall festival! Yes, you read that right! The South Kingstonw Parks and Recreation Department hosts its annual Children’s Fall Fest at 1 p.m. at Old Mountain Field.

Not to be confused with the classic arcade game. The Contemporary Theater Company presents The Tempest at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Dosey doe, maybe? Some English country dancing will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the South Kingstown Land Trust Barn.

“BOO!” – A ghost. Check out the Haunts of Little Rest Hill with the Pettaquamscutt Historical Society at 7:30 p.m. or 9:30 p.m. for $15. At the Courthouse Center for The Arts at 8 p.m. will be Dracula.

He still makes Bryant Gumbel look like Malcolm X. Comedian Wayne Brady performs at the Ryan Center at 8 p.m., as part of URI’s family weekend.

Mmm, markets! The Cross Mills farmers’ market meets at 9 a.m. The South Kingstown and URI farmers’ market is at 8:30 a.m. at East Farm.

Work on your backhand, your serve, your smashing at the net… There is drop-in tennis at the courts at Broad Rock Middle School starting at 9 a.m. The cost is just $3.

Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s International Day for Natural Disaster Reduction. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren.
