5 THINGS: La La La La Laaaaa!

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Thursday, April 5, 2012:

A special concert at a special venue. The annual Narragansett High School is at 7 p.m. tonight at the Towers. Admission is $5. Go, because it’ll probably be awesome.

Multiple book groups! (Because more than one book exists in the world.) The Brown Bag Book Group at the Kingston Free Library. They’ll be discussing Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. As the name of the group suggests, attendees are invited to bring their lunch with them, and cookies and light refreshments will be provided. The “Guys Read” Book Club, which is aimed at seventh and eighth grade boys, at 4 p.m. at Peace Dale Library. They’ll be discussing Red Kayak by Priscilla Cummings. Both groups are free.

Note: Not about traffic. The Rotary Club of Wakefield meets at Liliana’s Italian Restaurant at 12:15 p.m. today. For more information, click .

Happy birthday to mediocre pro athletes! Today marks the birthday of marginal professional athletes Jorge de la Rosa, Matt Bonner, Stephen Jackson, Ross Gload, Ryan Drese and Shammond Williams.

Shameless self-promotion alert!
