5 THINGS: Reading! Art! Acting!

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Wednesday, June 27, 2012:

Woohoo, summer reading! There is a kickoff event for the summer reading program at the Peace Dale library at 2 p.m. today. The suggested grades are fifth and sixth. For more info, click .

Did you miss fine art this weekend? If you missed the fine arts festival this weekend, then you might want to check out the photos of Onne van der Wal and ceramic artist Charlie Baramonde at the Courthouse Center for the Arts. The galleries are open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more info, click .

“I love acting. It is so much more real than life.” – Oscar Wilde. The Contemporary Theatre Company is acting classes at 5 p.m. The cost is $10.

Blogging, events, letters, what more could you want? Many people often ask me, “Hey are you the Patch guy?” And the answer is yes, yes I am. Then, most often they want to know how they can get things on the site. Let me present you with three options:

(Note: You might want to search for your event first, since we do have a calendar editor that adds things on her own awesome initiative.)
