- Prout baseball (0-2, 0-1 Division II-South) hosts Rogers (0-2, 0-2 Division II-South) at 4 p.m.
- Prout junior varsity tennis hosts Barrington at 4 p.m.
- South Kingstown junior varsity softball hosts West Warwick at 4 p.m.
- The South Kingstown girls’ and boys’ track teams travel to Exeter-West Greenwich for a meet with the Scarlet Knights and Westerly.
- South Kingstown boys’ lacrosse (0-0) hosts Mt. Hope (0-1, 0-1 Division II-South) at 4 p.m. at Curtis Corner Middle School.
- South Kingstown boys’ volleyball (1-0, 1-0 Division I) travels to Mount St. Charles (1-1, 1-1 Division I) for a 6:30 p.m. match. Junior varsity is at 4:45 p.m.
- South Kingstown boys’ junior varsity tennis travels to North Kingstown High School for a 3:30 p.m. match.
- Narragansett baseball (2-1, 1-1 Division II-South) plays at Cimalore Field in Westerly against the Bulldogs (1-2, 1-1 Division II-South) at 4 p.m.
- Narragansett junior varsity softball hosts Rogers at 3:45 p.m. at the high school.
Not Harry Potter – that’s so not Hunger Games. On this day in 193, Septimius Severus was named Roman Emperor. He’s not to be mistaken with Severus Snape, that dude from Harry Potter.

Speaking of teenage fads… Today Kristen Stewart, the waifish star of the Twilight movie series, turns 22. Good for her! According to Wiki, her first role was in The Thirteenth Year, which was obviously the big star vehicle for the horribly-named Chez Starbuck.
