5 THINGS: Tennis Playoffs, Hockey Commits and More!

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Sunday, April 22:
Bennett commits to Boston University. According to reports on ESPN, Narragansett High School graduate Diana Bennett will be playing her college hockey at BU. Bennett confirmed it with us on Friday afternoon. Following her senior year at NHS in 2011, Bennett has spent the last year prepping at the Cushing Academy, which finished 17-9-6.
Stonehill (Toegemann, Gilligan) continue on in playoff tennis. After a 5-0 win Friday against Saint Michael’s College, Stonehill will play for the Northeast-10 Conference Championship at 1 p.m. today. They will face No. 3-seed Southern New Hampshire for the third straight year. On Friday, Narragansett’s Amy Toegemann won at No. 3 doubles, 8-6, and held a 6-4, 4-3 lead at No. 1 singles when the match was called. Wakefield’s Katie Gilligan won her first set 7-5 at No. 2 singles when the match was called.

Everything Zen, everything Zen – I think so. Bush might not approve, but today everything will be zen at . They will be holding a meditation from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. While is free, a donation is recommended for Providence Zen Center and All That Matters scholarship fund.
URI kids, cleaning up the neighborhood. A between the URI Commuter Housing Office, URI Greek Life and the Office of Student Life will take place today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Bonnet Shores.

- Musica Dolce will at from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $20.
- A slew of URI student chamber ensembles will be playing from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Fine Arts Center. Admission is free. For a full list of artists, click .
- The URI Opera Workshop presents Mozart and the Americans from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more details, click . Admission is $5 for URI students, and $10 for the public.
Dinner and a date! The Center will have its Singles 60+ Supper Club at at 6 p.m. The event itself is free, you just have to pay for dinner. (Well, unless you find a nice gentleman caller there, wink wink.)
Take a break for a day. There are no high school sports scheduled for Sunday. Since it’s supposed to rain pretty much all day, starting around 10 a.m., that’s probably for the best anyway.
