5 THINGS: The Tempest, Dracula and Tennis
Three things that naturally go together, in today's Five Things.

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Sunday, October 14, 2012:
Work on your backhand, your serve, your smashing at the net… There is drop-in tennis at the courts at Broad Rock Middle School starting at 9 a.m. The cost is just $3.
Off to the market we go! There is a farmers’ market at Fisherman’s Memorial State Park at 9 a.m.

Not to be confused with the classic arcade game. The Contemporary Theater Company presents The Tempest at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20.
Dance around Kingston at the very least. The Classic Winds Quintet plays “Dancing Around The World” at 2 p.m. at Peace Dale Library. The show is free.

“We make up horrors to help us cope with the real ones.” – Stephen King. Dracula plays at 2 p.m. at the Courthouse Center for The Arts. Tickets are $25. The haunted courthouse takes over at 6 p.m. for $10.
Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s Mother's Day in Belarus. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).
Sign up for our daily newsletter! Hey, I realize we have a lot of neat features and knick-knacks on the site, so it can be confusing to keep up with it all. Want just one simple, easy to read daily digest? Sign up for our e-mail newsletter here then. It comes out between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. roughly, every single day of the week. Amazing, I know!
You know what that’s called – grit. On this day in 1912, John Schrank shot at former president Theodore Roosevelt and hit him in the chest. With the bullet still in his chest, Teddy gave his scheduled speech.
He was Bond – James Bond. Happy 84th birthday to Roger Moore! While he’s mostly known for being James Bond, I remember Moore more for his awesome episode of The Muppet Show.
