AG Kilmartin To Visit Narragansett High On Tuesday

The 'It Can Wait' campaign urges students to say "no" to snapping selfies, posting photos and updating their status while they're driving.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — Atty. Gen. Peter Kilmartin will talk with Narragansett High students on Tuesday about distracted driving. The youngsters will also get a demonstration of the pitfalls when one of their classmates takes a virtual spin on the AT&T driving simulator.

Kilmartin and the “It Can Wait” campaign will be at Narragansett High School at 1 p.m.

Students will hear from key officials, watch a powerful documentary featuring young people impacted by distracted driving, and will be asked to sign a pledge to not use their phones while driving. In addition, a student from Narragansett High School will demonstrate the dangers of distracted driving using the simulator.
