Country Music Star Billy Currington Coming to Ryan Center
Tickets for the March concert go on sale Friday Jan. 15.

KINGSTON, RI—Grammy nominee Billy Currington is coming to the Ryan Center on the University of Rhode Island campus for a live show in March.

Platinum-selling, Grammy, ACM and CMA nominated artist Billy Currington will hit the road on his headlining Summer Forever tour beginning in February 2016, including a Saturday, March 26 show at the Ryan Center on the campus of the University of Rhode Island. Billy’s high-energy live shows always give the audience what they want and leave them feeling like they’ve been to a great family reunion that turned into a raucous party.

Currington released his sixth studio album, Summer Forever, on Mercury Nashville in June 2015 and joined Tim McGraw on his Shotgun Rider Tour this past summer. The first single off of Summer Forever, “Don’t It,” climbed to number 1 on the country airplay charts, marking his tenth #1 single, and became an anthem of summer 2015.
Over the course of his career, Currington has celebrated ten No. 1 hits, platinum-selling albums and ACM, CMA and GRAMMY nominations. Currington’s series of chart-toppers include “Don’t,” “Good Directions,” “Let Me Down Easy,” “Must Be Doin’ Something Right,” “People Are Crazy,” “Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer,” “That’s How Country Boys Roll,” “Hey Girl,” and “We Are Tonight.”
Joining as support is CMT, CMA and AMA-nominated Kelsea Ballerini whose record-breaking, GOLD-certified single “Love Me Like You Mean It” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart to make her the first solo female artist in nine years to hit No. 1 with a debut single.
