CTC Holding Auditions for Wild Christmas Binge, Eurydice

All South County residents are welcome to audition.

WAKEFIELD – The Contemporary Theater Company announces auditions for “Eurydice,” “Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge” and an original cabaret “Your Friends and Neighbors present: The Last Happy Night of Your Life.”

“Eurydice” by Sarah Ruhl offers an imaginative, contemporary retelling of the Orpheus myth and plays Oct. 21 to Oct. 29 at the .

“Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge” by Christopher Durang is a musical parody of Dickens’ classic story. Singing and non-singing roles are available. The production plays Dec. 15 to Dec. 23 at in Narragansett.

The company’s cabaret seeks a cast of interdisciplinary artists and performers to create an original production in February and March at The Towers in Narragansett.

Actors should prepare one dramatic monologue and one comedic monologue. Singers, dancers and instrumentalists should prepare 30 seconds of performance. Piano accompaniment is not provided.

Auditions are the evenings of Aug. 29 and Aug. 30 at the Contemporary Theater Company Studio at the South County Commons. The Studio is located at 50 South County Commons Way, South Kingstown, RI.
