• Deyvn L. Voyer, 20, formerly of 75 East Shore Road, Narragansett, and now of 39 High Ridge Hollow, Avon, CT, pleaded no contest to a Narragansett police charge of shoplifting. The charge will be filed for one year. Voyer was also ordered to pay $189.96 in restitution and to submit to mental health and substance abuse counseling. In return for her plea, an additional charge of vandalism was dismissed. South Kingstown police charges of theft, for books Voyer allegedly took from roommates, are still pending.
• A Narragansett police charge of misstatement of age against Prashil Deepak Patel, 21, of Eldridge Hall at the University of Rhode Island, was dismissed. According to court records, Patel made a $200 donation to the Violent Crimes Indemnity Fund.
