Film Shot, Produced In RI Premieres Next Week | Patch PM

Welcome to Tuesday's edition of Patch PM — the Thanksgiving countdown is on! Here's a look at the headlines you might have missed around Rhode Island today.

Today's top story

There's been a lot of buzz about Holly wood in Rhode Island in recent months, with big name productions including Hocus Pocus 2 and The Gilded Age all using the Ocean State as a backdrop for their films.

Next Friday, another film entirely created in Rhode Island is set to premiere. "Mr. Birthday" stars Oscar nominee Eric Roberts (Runaway Train, The Dark Knight, The Expendables), Jason London (Dazed and Confused), Anna Marie Dobbins (Christmas Together), Charlotte Ciano (Agent Toby Barks) and Fred Sullivan (Vault).

Following the Dec. 3 premiere, the film will be released in select theaters and video on-demand services on Dec. 17.
