More than 100 people attended a fun and educational open house this past weekend.
On Saturday, off-duty members of the Narragansett Fire Department hosted an educational open house attended by more than 100 people.
Activities included equipment demonstrations, safety tips, apparatus tours and a booster line shooting gallery with a miniature hose for the kids. Parents and children alike, enjoyed complimentary refreshments, souvenirs, and pictures with Sparky the Dalmatian.
Many of the parents had an opportunity to learn more about how the department operates, as well as getting access to varied literature regarding home fires and home safety. The department hopes to host more in the future.
