Fireworks This Sunday at the Beach
The Town of Narragansett plans a fireworks display for Independence Day weekend, on Sunday night.

Through a cooperative partnership with the Dunes Club, Narragansett will be celebrating Independence Day on Friday with a professional firework display, the first time in many years.
The event will be free to the public and will be visible from the Town Beach, Pier area of Narragansett, and other areas of town.
The fireworks display will take place on Sunday, July 3, at 9 p.m. Due to concerns about the nearby habitat of piping plover birds near the mouth of Narrow River and the Dunes Club, the fireworks will be shot from a barge just off of Narragansett Town beach.

As a result, the fireworks display will be highly visible to residents and visitors from a broad area of town. To keep costs down, the town and the Dunes Club have partnered in the planning and sharing of costs for the fireworks. In the event of rain, fog, high winds or other weather, the event will be rescheduled for Labor Day weekend.
For more information about the fireworks, please check out the town’s website at www.narragansettri.gov.
